Industry Standard to Open in Downtown Phoenix

The popular Carly’s Bistro, a staple on Roosevelt Row for 19 years, recently closed its doors. The beloved Phoenix location will reopen this fall under new management as Industry Standard.

Industry Standard is a collaboration between Mike Cheathem of Scapegoat Beer & Wine, DashTrack founder Jordan Hudgens and restaurateur Michael Bodow. Their combined experience and passion for the industry promise to bring a vibrant dining experience to the neighborhood. The trio aims to offer an elevated yet approachable dining experience featuring a menu focused on seasonal ingredients that showcase modern American and Asian fusion flavors.

“It’s an honor to take over this space, which holds so many memories for the residents of the neighborhood,” says Hudgens, co-founder of Industry Standard, in a recent press release. “We intend to preserve the essence and legacy of Carly’s while introducing a menu featuring eclectic versions of classic dishes and local favorites with a twist.”

Industry Standard will incorporate global culinary influences presented in an accessible way, accompanied by a dynamic cocktail menu. Renowned mixologist Keifer Gilbert, known for his work at UnderTow and Bitter & Twisted Cocktail Parlour, will craft the cocktail menu. Additionally, Cheathem’s expertise will be showcased throughout the curated wine list and craft beer selection.

“We’re constantly eating out, we love the food and cocktail scene in our city, and we love being part of it,” says Hudgens in a press release. “Industry Standard is for the neighborhood diners, and we can’t wait to showcase the very best of what the ‘industry standard’ should be — through exceptional food, beverage, and, most of all, customer service.”

Industry Standard will be open late and is designed to be the go-to spot for local hospitality professionals, offering a welcoming atmosphere for after-work gatherings.
