Los Milics Vineyards’ New Tasting Room

Upon opening its first tasting room in Elgin in December, Los Milics Vineyards has brought a new, opulent wine experience to the Sonoran Desert, featuring a wine selection reminiscent of rustic sips from Southern Europe.

After a successful grand opening this past December, the new wine tasting room at Los Milics Vineyards in Elgin offers its guests a rich wine experience with the help of a chef-driven menu curated by Chef Ana Barrajo and opulent sips to complement. The vineyard grows its grapes in a unique terroir at a 5,000-ft. elevation and produces one white, two rosés and eight red wines. Each wine is reminiscent of Southern Europe with a rustic flavor profile.

The new tasting room was designed by Chen+Suchart Studio in Scottsdale and features weathered steel, dramatic views of the Mustang Mountains and modern indoor and outdoor seating.

“The challenge was in how to design something that was ‘appropriate’ for this setting,” says Suchart of Chen+Suchart Studio, in a press release. “The unspoiled setting of the land demanded a response from us where one had to answer: ‘How will you be a steward of this environment? And how will you want visitors to experience this site?’”

There are two winetasting experiences available to choose from when visiting Los Milics Vineyards, including the first level of wines, where visitors will sample from bottles priced at $20 to $36, with optional sharable plates to accompany the wine, and the second level, a private tasting led by winemaker Pavle Milic in LMV’s private room. Milic will feature and discuss limited-production wines, wine education and light bites at $85 per person.

Los Milics Vineyards plans to open nine casitas and a new Spanish dining destination, The Biscuit, in the late summer of 2023. Chen+Surchart will aid in bringing the one- and two-bedroom casitas to life, with each offering a private patio and picturesque views of the mountainscape.

The new tasting room at Los Milics Vineyards is open Thursday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
