Luna by Giada

Luna by Giada (as in De Laurentiis, the queen of Italian cuisine) offers a sophisticated spot for wining and dining on the first floor of the newly opened Caesars Republic Scottsdale. The elegant menu showcases the celebrated chef’s Roman heritage, paired with California influences.

Emmy Award winner Giada De Laurentiis has been a longtime favorite of Food Network viewers and a familiar face on the New York Times best-sellers list. Fans have also likely pulled up a seat at her Las Vegas-based restaurants, Giada and Pronto. Now, Valley dwellers get to indulge in her cuisine close to home at Luna by Giada, which opened in Spring 2024 at Caesars Republic Scottsdale.

The atmosphere of Luna by Giada is elegant but energetic, where locals can pop by the large Luna Bar for a post-work drink and hotel guests can toast to another sunny day in Scottsdale (we recommend the sunset-hued Riso Amaro with blood orange and apricot foam and the Vecchio Amico, with a fall-friendly thyme-cinnamon-infused simple syrup). Or, they can settle into one of the dining spaces to enjoy a menu of top-notch pasta, pizza, seafood and meat entrees, and much more. (Ask for a seat with a view of the kitchen and the massive Marra Forni brick oven, which was one of the first things installed at the Caesars property.)

The menu at Luna by Giada is fairly extensive, with over a dozen starters and salads and even more options for a main course (among its list of pastas, pizzas, and entrees). However, our favorites are the dishes that showcase Laurentiis’ love of lemon: lemon spaghetti, lemon pizza, and limoncello souffle. The restaurant’s signature lemon spaghetti features a creamy, rich heap of pasta–ready to be twirled around an eager fork–paired with sautéed shrimp, basil, and crispy capers. The lemon pizza–crowned with mozzarella, garlic creme sauce, and caciocavallo cheese–is another crowd pleaser. For the sweetest of endings, you can’t beat the limoncello souffle that is drizzled with blueberry anglaise tableside. And don’t miss out on the candied lemon biscotti that accompanies the dessert–it is stellar.

On the way out, be sure to take a moment to admire the stunning wine wall and lovingly curated shelves displaying Laurentiis’ take-home merch.
