Six40rty is a brand-new Tempe-based restaurant, sports bar and nightlife experience by Ascend Hospitality Group (AHG), a Black- and female-led, independent restaurant group from Bellevue, Wash. It is named after its address at 640 Mill Ave., right next door to Anoche Cantina.
Offering a one-of-a-kind sports bar experience for Downtown Tempe revelers, Six40rty comprises a whopping 10,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor space. There, guests can catch the big game on more than 70 televisions (the viewing experience is made even better by state-of-the-art lighting and sound system) while digging into elevated bar snacks. Slider stacks, epic burgers, loaded totchos and tasty bowls are among the picture-perfect eats that bring game-day grub to a whole new level. To drink, there are more than 30 beers on tap, as well as trendy sips, like house cocktails offered by the pitcher or by the tower, at the new Tempe sports bar.
Outside on the spacious patio (be sure to check out the custom street murals!), Six40rty guests can grab a spot at the open-air bar or challenge their pals to a game of Pop-A-Shot, corn hole, ping pong, giant Jenga and more. The Mill Avenue hotspot also happens to be one of the first locally to have a new game called SubSoccer, where seated players compete underneath the table to score a goal, all the while enjoying the action on the big screen and a good brew.
Come nightfall, Six40rty moves from laidback sports bar to a Tempe nightlife experience. Revelers can enjoy the likes of DJ sets, luxe bottle service and beautiful presentations.
