Papago Brewing Company to Open in Mesa 2023

Locally owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo, Leah and Jeff Huss, Huss Brewing Co. is expanding its growing beer empire with an all-new Papago Brewing Company taproom at Mesa Riverview. The new taproom is expected to open in early 2023.

A growing local favorite with locations in Downtown Phoenix, Uptown Phoenix and Tempe, Huss Brewing Co. will take over the former home of The Brass Tap and open its new, standalone Papago Brewing Company location in Mesa. The brewery will be 2,100 square feet, with 104 seats in its taproom and a separate dining space serving up lunch and dinner daily.

The Mesa location will pour an ever-changing selection of 60 craft draft beers at a time and offer packaged beers to go. The beer selection will feature freshly-crafted brews from the Huss Family of Beers, local beers from Arizona and beyond, plus small batches of experimental beers for sampling. Some previous local favorites will return to celebrate the new location, like Elsie’s Milk Out and Hopago IPA. Each beer will be paired with a compact menu of specialty bar bites that will be announced after the opening.

“It’s always been my dream to reintroduce the Papago Brewing experience,” says Leah Huss, in a press release. “Not a rehash or a replica of the old taproom but a brand-new iteration. I really wanted to envision what Papago Brewing would look like in 2023, so we’ll still have elements of a traditional European-style beer pub and vintage furnishings, yet very fresh and forward-looking.”
