Phoenix is about to get a taste of the Big Apple as The Maggiore Group unveils its latest concept, Patsy’s New York Delicatessen. Set to open in Spring 2025, this highly anticipated Jewish-style deli will take over the former location of The Rosticceria, bringing an authentic New York delicatessen experience to the Valley. Behind the concept is Chef Joey Maggiore, known for delivering bold, over-the-top flavors in his restaurant ventures.
At Patsy’s New York Delicatessen, Chef Joey Maggiore aims to combine tradition with a modern flair, creating a one-of-a-kind dining destination that captures the essence of a classic New York deli. Named after his grandfather, a Bronx-born butcher known as Patsy, the deli will pay homage to New York’s iconic Jewish delis.
Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Patsy’s will offer both grab-and-go options and a sit-down dining experience. The menu will include hearty breakfast sandwiches, fresh salads, and house-smoked deli meats served in hand-carved New York-style sandwiches.
“We’re bringing Arizona its first one-of-a-kind bagel bar, featuring 14 uniquely flavored cream cheeses—from artichoke and spinach dip to Nutella, and even a signature pastrami lox schmear,” says Chef Maggiore, co-founder of The Maggiore Group and Chef Joey Concepts, in a press release. “Our New York-style bagels will be made fresh in-house daily, using authentic New York water for that perfect bite.”

For those craving classic deli staples, Patsy’s will not disappoint. The menu will feature potato knish, croissants, sugar cookies, black-and-white cookies, and a selection of desserts, including triple-decker chocolate cake and what Chef Maggiore claims to be “the best cheesecake outside of Manhattan.” Adding to the fun, Patsy’s will feature a custom soda bar where guests can craft their own classic New York egg creams, a Brooklyn-born frothy treat.
Designed by Christina Maggiore, the restaurant’s atmosphere will be as dynamic as its menu. Vibrant red accents, a vintage diner aesthetic, and an art installation capturing the spirit of Manhattan will transport guests to the heart of New York. Whether dining at the deli counter or enjoying a meal in the cozy dining room or outdoor patio, visitors will experience the perfect blend of nostalgic charm and contemporary flair.
As the opening date approaches, Patsy’s New York Delicatessen will be hiring for various positions, including servers, bartenders, food runners, bussers, expeditors, hosts, line cooks, and dishwashers.
