Pedal Haus Brewery to Open in Downtown Mesa

Pedal Haus Brewery is expanding into Downtown Mesa, with a new location slated to open in Fall 2024. The brewery’s fourth location (joining outposts in Tempe, Chandler and Phoenix) is taking over the historic Pit Stop auto body shop.

The new Pedal Haus location will feature a vast 6,000-sq.-ft. dog-friendly patio, creating a park-like ambiance complete with an indoor-outdoor bar, fire pits and a live music stage. The indoor space will cover 2,300 square feet and will preserve many of the original design elements from the autobody shop, including the distinctive floating “V” awning.

“We are looking forward to debuting this new concept for Pedal Haus – the Biergarten – which will provide a large outdoor space for people to enjoy great beer, delicious food, lawn games, live music and more,” says Julian Wright, founder of Pedal Haus Brewery, in a recent press release.

Pedal Haus fans can anticipate enjoying the brewery’s award-winning beers on tap alongside craft cocktails. The menu will feature beloved dishes such as the Brewer’s Board, Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese and maple butter, Nashville hot chicken sandwich and its signature burgers. Additionally, the new location will offer a weekend brunch with gourmet dishes and special brunch cocktails. Notably, the new Mesa location will be the first Pedal Haus location to provide its renowned beers in cans for takeout, expanding its reach beyond the taproom.

“Downtown Mesa is the perfect location for Pedal Haus’ new Biergarten,” says John Giles, Mayor of Mesa, in a press release. “It will add a new dimension to our growing local brewery scene. I’m excited to check out the festive atmosphere, live music, great food and more.”

Pedal Haus Brewery has been a prominent figure in the local craft beer industry since its first location opened in Tempe in 2015. The brewery has since garnered over 40 medals and awards, including a silver medal for best international light lager for the Day Drinker Light Lager at the 2024 World Beer Cup and multiple gold medals at the 2023 Arizona Craft Beer Awards, where it was named Brewery of the Year.
