Pita Jungle’s Summer Menu

Pita Jungle‘s new Seasonal Kitchen Crafts Menu–Summertime and the Eating is Healthy–is now available at participating restaurants for dine-in, pickup and delivery. Designed to help locals beat the summer heat, the Mediterranean-inspired dishes on the new menu are light and refreshing.

Seeking a colorful, feel-good dish to get you through another 100-degree day? Pita Jungle’s summer menu additions are sure to please. Best of all, most can be made gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan–if not already–with a few simple swaps. Take a peek at the newest offerings:

Moroccan Gazpacho: Served cold, this summery gazpacho spotlights a medley of refreshing veggies as well as garbanzo beans and golden raisins to up the protein. Served with pine nuts and pita chips. (Gluten-free, vegetarian)

Labneh Dip Mezze Veggies & Chips (pictured at top of page): A perfect appetizer, labneh is blended with za’atar-thyme mix and served with tomato, Persian cucumber, Kalamata olives, fresh mint, a drizzle of olive oil and toasted pita.

Levantine Lentils & Greens Stir Fry Salad Bowl: This stir fry is a meat-free offering of lentils, spinach, Tuscan kale, baby arugula and caramelized onions, served atop a tossed salad with seasonal mixed greens, colorful veggies, mint, sumac, fresh lemon, red wine vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. (Vegetarian)

Chicken-Asada Super Greens ‘n Grains Southwest Bowl: A chopped salad meets grain bowl, this dishes features Mediterranean dark meat chicken-asada, red quinoa, avocado, tomato, roasted jalapeno, red onion, cilantro, parsley, sumac, lemon juice and and olive oil on a bed of romaine, which has been lightly tossed in red wine vinaigrette. (Gluten-free)

“High Plains Mediterranean Drifter” Garbanzo Tostada: One of Pita Jungle’s summer menu’s most unique offerings is a crispy pita tostada crowed with warm, twice-boiled garbanzo, a drizzle of yogurt-tahini crema and a rainbow of chopped vegetables: avocado, yellow bells, tomato, Persian cucumber, celery, red onion, jicama and roasted jalapeno. The dish is rounded out with pine nuts, cilantro, parsley, mint and a lemon squeeze. (Vegetarian)

Gyro Super Hero: This plant-based high-protein gyro features vegan tzatziki, seasonal mixed greens, tomato, red onions, Mediterranean pickles and a Greek pita. (Vegetarian)

Very Chicken Vindaloo: For those seeking some heat, this fragrant dish features Mediterranean dark meat chicken-asada in a spicy vindaloo sauce, turmeric brown rice, honey-glazed cabbage-kale super greens and green onions. Bonus: this makes excellent leftovers! (Gluten-free)

The Amazing [Hummus & Chicken] Pita: This table favorite from Pita Jungle’s summer menu features Mediterranean dark meat chicken-asada, hummus, chipotle-tahini based cabbage-kale super greens, avocado, tomato, Mediterranean pickles, red onions, pine nuts and lemon juice in a warm pita.

Kataïfi Cookie: Though it might be hard to skip Pita Jungle’s famed baklava, this summer menu offering is a tasty alternative, featuring a shredded filo dough, crushed walnuts and a delicious honey drizzle.
