Quartz Phoenix Welcomes Two New Menus

Want to wow family and friends who are in town for the holidays? A pair of dazzling new menus have been unveiled at Quartz Phoenix–and they are dressed to impress.

Already a Downtown Phoenix favorite for its wildly-inventive cocktails and one-of-a-kind setting, Quartz has just welcomed two all-new menus (including one that takes center stage at its bar-within-a-bar, The Cave at Quartz).

From genius bar director Maxwell Berlin, the new Crystal Cruncher cocktail menu–served in the main bar–focuses on healing crystals, further expanding on Quartz’ gemstone theme. Somewhere Over the Rainbow Ammolite is a tropical treat with fruity flavors of passionfruit, orange, guava, and more–all topped with a heap of rainbow-hued shaved ice. Just as playful is Malachite Metamorphosis, an almost-frozen appletini, paired with a housemade frog-shaped gummy. Black licorice fans will savor every drop of the Peridot on Nitro, which boasts a velvety texture of almond cream and the rich nuttiness of pistachio.

The Cave at Quartz–a reservations-only, must-see mirrored rose-gold arched crystal cave–is the hotspot’s bar-within-a-bar. There, imbibers can find a completely new and completely different menu than the one offered in Quartz proper. Guest of The Cave embark on a 90-minute experience to enjoy the fresh and incredibly innovative menu, featuring cocktails inspired by deserts across the globe. An homage to the Antarctic Desert, Penguin Suit is a silky, minty martini (paired with a chocolate cookie); the gorgeous Souk Sazerac pairs whiskey with Moroccan mint tea and camel hump fat in an ode to the Sahara Desert; and Wadjet’s Eye is a smokey tiki Cobra Fang cocktail with spices of nutmeg, mace, cumin, and myrrh.

An ode to our very own Sonoran Desert, We Call It Home features savory ingredients from the kitchen of six local restaurants (chiltepíns chiles inspired by Bacanora Chef René Andrade; Szechuan peppers from Old Town Taste; prickly pear cacti from F&B; sun-dried tomatoes from Tratto; coal-roasted corn from Valentine; and onion and fish sauce flavors from Glai Baan). The result is a spicy margarita-like cocktail, sweet at first with a savory, zippy ending.

Feeling peckish? Quartz Phoenix serves a small menu of nibbles, like masala-spiced Chex Mix, gourmet hot dogs, and an adorable Adventure Pack (think a leveled-up Lunchable, paired with fresh fruit and nuts). And to add even more newness to the mix, the hotspot even welcomed its first-ever dedicated happy hour menu, featuring tropical-style drinks daily from 5 to 7 p.m.

Quartz Phoenix is open Sunday to Thursday, 5 p.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, visit www.quartzphx.com.
