Raise a Glass to National Tequila Day in Phoenix

Cheers to National Tequila Day on Friday, July 24! These three Valley restaurants are raising a glass to this lip-smackingly-good holiday.

Barrio Queen—which has one of the largest selections of tequila and mezcal in the state of Arizona—will celebration National Tequila Day at its Scottsdale, Gilbert, North Phoenix/Desert Ridge, Queen Creek and Tempe locations. On July 24, dig into in-store specials, like $10 Don Julio Añejo pours and $12 El Don margaritas or order up one of Barrio Queen’s several margarita to-go kits. Specials include the $40 Casa Margarita Kit, which comes with a bottle of Dobel Silver Tequila, margarita ingredients and a T-shirt (while supplies last).

Phoenix’s Taco Guild is home to one of the best tequila collections in the Valley. National Tequila Day drink and shot specials include three different cocktail options for $10, including The Purist, The Beginner and The Old Timer. Shot specials for the day include Fortzleza Blanco, El Tesoro Paradiso and Tapatio Reposado. Can’t decide what to order? Ask a Taco Guild tequila connoisseur about the restaurant’s top-secret flights.

Every Friday at Hotel Valley Ho’s ZuZu in Scottsdale, enjoy a new family meal for four—and this week’s offering comes just in time for National Tequila Day. On July 24, savor a taco package with a bottle of tequila, house margarita mix, carne asada, chicken tinga, broiled shrimp, rice and beans, 12 tortillas, chips, salsa, guacamole, street corn, fresh limes and churros. The July 24 package is $75, and orders must be placed by 2 p.m. Thursday. New meals will be featured every Friday. Grubhub delivery and pick-up hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
