Restaurant of the Week: Alo Cafe

Located in Charles Miller Square in Old Town Scottsdale, Alo Cafe is a unique take on a classic Eurostyle breakfast and lunch Cafe.

We were so happy to stumble upon this hidden gem. The patio is so serene (perfect for when we have nice weather), the inside is quaint and the staff is beyond friendly.

Open for breakfast and lunch (and occasional special dinners), Alo Cafe serves with menu items from Argentina, Estonia, South Africa, Spain, and of course specialty American favorites.

Breakfast items include your standard two egg breakfast, french toast, waffles, omelets, and more (eggs Benedict featured in the photo above is a special item not on the regular menu). We loved the hand cut potatoes that still had the skins on them. We recommend trying some of the house ketchup for a little extra flavor on the crispy house potatoes.

Sandwich options include a Curred Chicken Salad, Tortilla Espanola (signature dish of Spain), New York Special Hero #1 (capicola, soppressata, extra Sharp provolone, peppadew pepper, pepperoncini) and Two Sabrett Hot Dogs with mustard, sauerkraut or pushcart onions. Definitely not your typical Scottsdale lunch menu!
