Cold Beers & Pizza, a spinoff of its popular sister restaurant Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, opened its doors in Scottsdale in December. The casual spot brings Old Town the perfect neighborhood pizza joint and local hangout.
Cold Beers & Pizza offers a straightforward pizza menu offering classics like a margherita pizza, featuring a Wiseguy red sauce with soppressata, basil and mozzarella, as well as some not-so-traditional offerings, including the Scampi White Pizza, crafted with shrimp, garlic sauce, spinach and basil. The pizza menu also includes gluten-free options, with a delicious cauliflower crust cooked in a pan to perfection and kept separate from the ovens.
The menu also features a plethora of Italian fare, including fresh pastas (with traditional faves like spaghetti and meatballs and fettuccini alfredo), hoagies, salads and the delightful dessert options of a skillet cookie and various cannolis.
If its menu isn’t convincing enough to draw you to the joint, its selection of more than 50 beers to choose from (with 20-plus on tap) and a fine selection of wines, seltzers and handcrafted cocktails might change your mind. The restaurant also features 25 TV’s for visitors to catch the latest games, and a lively outdoor patio to soak in the Arizona sun.
