Restaurant of the Week: Drexyl

Drexyl Restaurant, located at The Shops Gainey Village in Scottsdale, is a new restaurant serving modern American cuisine with seasonal, handcrafted dishes.

We were immediately impressed upon entering by the interesting combination of both classic and modern decor.


Drexyl prides itself on having something for everyone on their menu, and of everything we tried, we couldn’t find one thing we didn’t like. Some of our favorites included the Chicken Arancini, made with fire roasted chicken, crispy fried risotto, tomato jam, cilantro cream and candied jalapeno; the Ahi Tuna Taco Trio; and the Chicken Club Sandwich.

The Seared Salmon Salad is a must-try, made with sustainable salmon glazed with blood orange puree, red bliss potatoes, warm bacon vinaigrette, baby lettuces, roasted tomatoes. We were initially unsure how this combination of flavors would come together, but we were pleasantly surprised and couldn’t get enough of it.

You must save room for dessert and order the Salted Caramel Brownie – it will be well worth the calories.
