Restaurant of the Week: Rusconi’s

When you walk into Rusconi’s American Kitchen, you wouldn’t expect the flavor-packed meal you are about to savor when looking at the low-key, modern décor and all-around private and pleasant atmosphere you are immediately immersed in.

Once you sit down and order your wine from their extensive selection, take five or ten minutes to read over the entire menu Chef Rusconi created. You’ll have a hard time selecting just one!

If you know what’s good for you, you’ll order the white truffle scented mac-n-cheese as a starter. It’s creamy and savory and just the perfect dish to awaken your taste buds and ready them for the next round of delicious food. If you’re a truffle fan you should also order some crunchy, salty Parmesan and white truffle scented fries served with house-made ketchup and lemon aioli to satisfy that salty tooth.


Two words come to mind when perusing the entrée selection: farm fresh. The pork osso bucco is a blast of rich, slow-roasted flavor alongside Idaho garlic potato mash, prickly pear braised red cabbage and small green beans. Even if you aren’t much of a vegetable eater you will love the prickly pear braised red cabbage.

Cutting back on the red meat but still want a meal that sticks? The roasted natural chicken is both filling and delicious. Combined with grilled vegetable risotto, sherry vinegar jus and small green beans, this entrée is as farm fresh as it gets.

If your taste buds can handle a dessert after all that natural flavor, be sure to order the warm dark chocolate bread pudding. This isn’t your momma’s bread pudding packed with raisins. It’s luscious, chocolate-y and rich and the perfect way to top off your meal.
