Restaurant of the Week: Sierra Bonita Grill

This hidden Southwestern Restaurant in Central Phoenix will greet you with a historic and cozy feeling, and then knock your socks off during the meal. Built with original wood beams from an old barn, brick and historic pictures.

Every dish is made with the freshest ingredients and passion for good food. Their signature dishes are the Marinated Carne Asada Tacos, Carne Asada Entrée and Buttermilk Chicken.

For starters, we tried the Guacamole made fresh in a molcajete and served with house made tortilla chips and three signature salsas, and the Hopper’s Poppers with jalapenos made with a blend of four cheeses.

For sides we tried their sweet potato mashed, and green chili and cheddar mashed.

The fresh squeezed margarita with a mixture of tart and sweet was the perfect summer night drink.

For dessert we had the Croissant Bread Pudding, which had an extra flaky texture to it with the croissants, and the Buttermilk Pie, a sweet custard pie, both being restaurant favorites.

A delicious hidden gem we have discovered and have been raving about ever since and are looking forward to our next visit and trying more favorites.
