Restaurant of the Week: Taggia

Taggia, located inside the Firesky Resort in Scottsdale, serves up fresh farm to table Italian cuisine.

In the heart of the hustle and bustle of Old Town Scottsdale, Taggia feels like a retreat and you will quickly forget you are in one of the busiest areas of Scottsdale. When the weather is nice, the patio is a perfect place to dine with views of the pool and lush landscape of the resort.

Some must-try appetizers are the Burrata and Calamari. They’re pastas and pizzas are great, our personal favorite was the Gnocchi with ricotta dumplings,‏ black truffle “alfredo”, speck and toasted hazelnuts.

For your main dish we recommend the seared scallops with heirloom carrots, lemon roasted corn and caper-avocado salsa, and the slow braised veal with parmesan polenta, shallot-mushroom ragu and barolo demi glace.

All of the dessert look amazing, but we couldn’t get enough of the Tiramisu and the Cannolis.

Taggia of course has a great wine list (the key component of a great Italian restaurant!) as well as some signature cocktails.

In addition to dinner and cocktails, Taggia also serves breakfast and lunch.
