Restaurant of the Week: Teaspoon

Reinventing breakfast and lunch staples, Teaspoon is a chic eatery with a globally inspired menu in Tucson. The joint, owned by a sister duo, offers tastes inspired by their home kitchen and Tucson’s local flare.

Teaspoon offers a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, perfect for connecting with family and friends or enjoying some quiet time on your own. The spot encourages guests to bring their four-legged friends and features a spacious, pet-friendly patio for both you and your furbaby. The space highlights a rustic design, with wooden accents and exposed brick throughout its layout.

The warm environment is complemented by a menu driven by a taste of the co-owners’ home, featuring modern twists on traditional fare such as its bubble waffle, inspired by a traditional Hong Kong treat, and a gluten-free challah vanilla bean French toast that will satisfy your sweet tooth. This is not the only allergy-friendly item on the menu; there are numerous dishes to choose from, like the blueberries-and-cream French toast or the Southwestern skillet.

The menu’s more savory side highlights classic staples like the chilaquiles con pollo, complete with corn tortillas and a red sauce, or, a local favorite, the eggs benedict, complete with your choice of meat and greens. We would argue this is one of the best chilaquiles in the state.

The eatery wouldn’t be complete without a brunch cocktail menu, featuring refreshing mixes and traditional sips like a sparkling mimosa or Bloody Mary. The bar menu coincides with a coffee menu, featuring lattes, drip coffee, boba teas and more. A pastry case featuring fresh-baked goods and grab-and-go items is also available.
