The Cove Trattoria, a hidden gem in Scottsdale, is a family owned Italian Restaurant and Pizza Place located near Scottsdale Rd off Indian Bend.
The Cove Trattoria opened in 2002, specializing in wood-fired pizzas and now offering a full Italian menu including salads, pasta and a great wine list. This family owned restaurant takes pride in making their dishes from scratch using local, fresh ingredients.
The bruschetta to start was delicious, made with fresh baked bread and topped with chopped tomato, red onion, capers, prosciutto, parmesan and fresh basil. We were also very impressed with the gluten free pasta – we couldn’t even tell the difference!
For dessert, the Nutella Pizza caught our eye on the menu. As full as we were, we knew this had to be a must try – and it certainly did not disappoint. Homemade, soft and sweet pizza dough with a thick layer of Nutella on top definitely made for a perfectly indulgent dish.
In addition to the food being great, the service cannot be beat. The staff makes you feel like family, going above and beyond to accommodate their customers.
“We are a family restaurant,” The Cove owner Vinny Monica says. “Our staff and our customers are considered family, too. And that’s the atmosphere that we want to project.”
The Cove Trattoria offers happy hour Monday through Friday, 3pm – 6pm and Saturday, 4pm – 6:30pm.
