Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar is a popular spot in North Scottsdale, known for its tropical ambiance and delicious food. The Kierland Commons restaurant added a brunch portion to its menu in January 2023, making it a new must-stop for a weekend brunch.

The menu at Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar features a variety of island-inspired dishes, including seafood, steak and burgers. Guests rave about the quality of the food, which is prepared with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The Scottsdale restaurant also has an extensive cocktail menu, featuring a variety of tropical drinks, specialty cocktails and mocktails for the non-drinkers. Brunch spotlights a prix-fixe menu for $45 per person and includes several sides to share with the table and one entrée. Guests can also order à la carte from the brunch menu as well.

Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar features a tropical-inspired design with bamboo accents, palm trees and wicker elements throughout, offering upscale, modern beach vibes. The upstairs portion, where brunch is served, features large windows that bring in the natural light, an outdoor patio area (both upstairs and downstairs) and high ceilings with bright, white walls, which gives an airy tone to the restaurant. From the patio, guests enjoy a view of the bustling shopping area and gorgeous mountain views. There is a live performance during brunch, featuring steel drums, which adds to the beachy atmosphere.

Brunch is served with complimentary bread for the table, including a delicious cinnamon butter. There are many morning-friendly cocktails to choose from that pair perfectly with brunch. Guests start off their prix-fixe brunch with a light fruit salad, shrimp fried rice and a cheesy chicken sausage. The fruit salad has slices of melons, cucumbers and avocado, all topped with mint leaves, diced red peppers, peanuts and dosed in a ginger-honey vinaigrette. The shrimp fried rice is well seasoned and has a slight kick to the dish. It includes andouille sausage, crab bits and small pieces of shrimp, along with carrots, edamame and green onions to top it all off.

A few fan-favorite brunch entrees include the lobster frittata and the steak and eggs. The lobster frittata has pieces of butter-poached lobster, tomatoes, spinach and artichokes, crowned with a cream sauce and a large, baked egg. The lobster adds a rich taste to the dish, but overall it is very light and flavorful. It is served with two slices of toasted sourdough bread. The spicy steak and eggs dish features strips of filet mignon, on top of shakshuka-style chilaquiles, poached eggs and pickled onions, with a flour tortilla on the side. The portion size is generous, and you will likely have leftovers.
