This November, Saint Urban Wine Bar will open in Scottsdale, bringing a unique flair to the local dining scene. Named after the patron saint of vintners, Saint Urban will feature a rotating selection of 30 premium wines by the glass, along with cocktails and local craft beers.
Saint Urban Wine Bar’s menu is built around fresh, shareable plates, highlighted by an epic charcuterie and cheese board that features premium West Coast producers from California, Oregon, and Utah, stepping away from the typical international selections. It will serve gourmet bites like charcuterie boards, sandwiches, and salads, making it the perfect spot for a quick lunch, happy hour, or dinner.
The seafood options include West Coast oysters served in three ways: Fresh Shucked, Broiled Rockefeller, and Supreme. For a unique culinary experience, diners can enjoy The Salt Block, offering sushi-grade salmon, tuna, or hamachi paired with agave ponzu and crispy garlic almond and wasabi peas. For meat lovers, the signature Santa Maria-style BBQ Tri Tip is a must-try, available as an entree or in sandwich form, served on a fresh bun from Noble Bakery. This dish is a tribute to the famous tri tip sandwich from Seaside Market in Encinitas, Calif..
“It’s welcoming and unpretentious, perfect for both romantic dates and also casual hangs with friends. But also discerning when it comes to offering a world-class selection of wines highlighted by top Napa Valley producers,” says Christopher Collins, chef and owner of Saint Urban, in a recent press release.
The wine bar’s interior design, crafted in collaboration with Jennifer Reynolds of Ideation Design Group, will offer a warm and inviting ambiance. With seating for 77, guests can choose between the sleek black granite bar, cozy booths under elegant chandeliers, or the spacious covered patio, perfect for enjoying the fall weather. The interior will feature eclectic wallpaper, crown molding, and a striking brass backlit mirror behind the bar.
Complementing the food menu is Saint Urban Wine Bar’s wine list, which will feature 30 wines by the glass, rotating regularly to keep a fresh selection. The drink offerings include a selection of Arizona craft beers and a small cocktail menu focusing on specialty gin and tonics. Guests can also look forward to weekly specials like Thirsty Thursday, which offers half-off select wine bottles.
“It’s designed with an approachable price point that allows you to visit several times a week, no matter if you’re saddling up to the bar for a ‘girl dinner’ of truffle shoestring potatoes, a Caesar salad, and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, sharing a bottle of wine and some small plates with friends, or joining us for a full chef-crafted dinner, Saint Urban brings everyone together,” says Collins, in a press release.
Saint Urban Wine Bar will open its doors daily at 11 a.m. for lunch; happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m.; and dinner service until 9 p.m. on weekdays and 10 p.m. on weekends.
