SaltFire Brewing Now Open in Tempe

SaltFire Brewing, a Utah-based brewery, has launched its first Arizona tap house. The opening marks the transformation of Boulders on Broadway, a craft beer bar in Tempe, into the SaltFire Brewing Tap House.

Boulders on Broadway has been a staple in the local craft beer scene since its opening in 2007, offering an elevated pub menu. The original owners, Erick and Rochelle Geryol, will continue to manage the new SaltFire Brewing Tap House in collaboration with SaltFire co-owners Ryan Miller and Tim Wilson.

“We’re so excited to show off the Tap House and to let the community know the staff, atmosphere and commitment to craft beer and great food is better than ever,” says Rochelle, in a recent press release.

This transition introduces SaltFire’s unique beers to 10 of the venue’s 30 taps including beers such as Grievance Scotch Ale, Dirty Chai Stout, 12 Monkeys IPA, Big in Japan IPA, Deep Dive Series Irish Red and many more. The extensive beer options are accompanied by menu updates from Chef Joey Dohrmann. The new menu features an array of appetizers, pretzel bun burgers, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, tacos and calzones.

“Our Arizona roots run deep and once we got the brewery up and running in Salt Lake City, our goal was to figure out a way to get into the Arizona market,” says Wilson, in a press release. “It started with self-distributing to select taprooms, and the reception and support was amazing. It gave us brand recognition which paved the way for working with the Geryols on re-branding Boulders as SaltFire Tap House.”

SaltFire Brewing Tap House will be open Monday to Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; Friday and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.; and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to midnight.
