North Scottsdale Italian restaurant, Sassi, is offering a special three-course menu for only $39 throughout November.
The first course features cavatelli alla campidanese, a house-made cavatelli pasta with spicy Sardinian-style ragu of pork shoulder and soprasatta. Lamb osso bucco, braised in Nebbiolo with roasted fall vegetables, provides a flavorful main entrée. A tantalizing dessert features crespelle with caramelized apples and an almond and Amaretto semifreddo.
Sassi’s November special menu includes an option of two premium six-ounce Italian wines – Barbera d’Alba, Gianni Gagliardo 2007 and Boroli Barolo, 2005 – for an additional $25.
The Sassi Bar offers Happy Hour from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, featuring well brand cocktails and antipasti for $7. The Happy Hour menu includes Roman-style meatballs; Sicilian-style eggplant involtini with Buffalo Mozzarella and tomato; speidino of sea scallops with house-made sausage, sage and herb salad; and pizza with roasted local tomatoes, goat cheese and olive oil.
Live entertainment is offered in the Sassi Bar from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The flamenco sounds of Mosaico is offered on Friday night and pop/jazz music of Renee Patrick and pianist on Saturday.
Sassi restaurant dining hours are 5:30 to 9 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. The Sassi Bar opens at 5 p.m.
