Scottsdale Fashion Square will welcome Telefèric Barcelona, a renowned family-owned restaurant specializing in Spanish tapas, paellas, and innovative cocktails, in 2025.
Telefèric Barcelona opened in 1992 in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Spain, before expanding to two locations in the country. Siblings Xavi and Mara Padrosa later brought their family’s restaurant to the United States, opening restaurants in California and Seattle. With several new locations in development, the brand has become synonymous with an authentic Spanish dining experience.
The Scottsdale restaurant marks Telefèric Barcelona’s Arizona debut and promises to deliver the same high-quality, coastal-inspired cuisine that has captivated diners across the globe. Executive Chef Oscar Cabezas will lead the culinary team, blending authentic Spanish flavors with a California twist enhanced by local produce.
“Telefèric Barcelona is a creative, energetic team that is known for delivering exceptional cuisine in a unique and upbeat environment,” says Regan Amato, JLL executive vice president representing Telefèric Barcelona, in a recent press release. “Their newest restaurant will sit at the center of an award-winning shopping and dining destination, easily accessed by a central porte-cochère and served by valet parking. This site at Scottsdale Fashion Square is the perfect location for their Arizona debut.”

The Scottsdale menu will feature iconic Spanish dishes, including tapas like patatas bravas, croquettes, pulpo Telefèric (grilled octopus with pimentón potato puree), gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic), lobster paella, and paella negra (prepared with squid ink, shrimp, and octopus). Weekend brunch will feature special paellas and sangria pitchers.
The beverage program will showcase Telefèric’s signature gin and tonic menu, with creative options like the Ibiza (featuring dry gin, silver dust, butterfly pea, and makrut lime) and the Catalan (made with botanical gin, grapefruit, rosemary, and orchid). Sangria enthusiasts can look forward to highlights like the Sangria Barceloneta, infused with prickly pear juice and cava, and the Telefèric Sangria, crafted with Tempranillo. Guests will also have the opportunity to try the porrón, a traditional glass pitcher used to pour wine directly into the mouth, a fun and interactive experience.
