Terra Tempe Kitchen & Spirits Showcases Southwest Flavors This Season

Located on the ground-level inside The Westin Tempe, Terra Tempe Kitchen & Spirits is the epitome of luxury. From the minimalist-chic interior design to the well-crafted, avant garde-style dishes on the menu, guests are welcomed to an unforgettable dining experience, currently enjoyed via its fall menu.

Recently launched, Terra Tempe Kitchen & Spirits’ fall menu comprises cuisine that draws inspiration from the tapestry of Arizona’s seasonal ingredients. Executive Chef Mario Ventura curates a selection of locally sourced spices, peppers and meats to innovatively tell a story of the significance of Arizona land and history. “Guests can anticipate classic fall dishes, each reimagined with a touch of creativity, including the addition of velvety butternut squash, the warmth of chilis and the succulence of roasted meats and vegetables,” says Chef Ventura.

The design of the fall menu features plating that is, of course, designed to capture the true essence of the season and capture the essence of what the southwestern community appreciates most about its food. A signifier to this testament is the braised short rib, featured with mesquite polenta fries, chili brussels sprouts, pomegranate demi and pistachio-pomegranate gremolata. This dish is a perfect example of a meal that is plentiful in every direction, as much as it is vibrant.

To complement the dinner menu for this fall, The Westin Tempe’s Master Mixologist, Nicole Robinson-Sanchez, partnered with Chef Ventura to curate a series of handcrafted and creative-forward cocktails that combine herb-infused spirits with natural flavors, syrups and juices that introduce a reinvigorating experience. Guests can enjoy alongside their meals, a Cin Sour, a tequila-forward cocktail that hosts El Tequileño Reposado Tequila, cinnamon-infused agave, lemon and egg white.

For those with an oak-forward alcohol preference with a sweet finish, the Millionaire Manhattan is a great option–with notes of tallow-washed wagyu, Fleur Charmante, carpano antica, angostura bitters and a garnishment of gold-flake cherries.

Extending the meaning of handcrafted to its guests, Terra Tempe Kitchen & Spirits serves menu items that welcome guests to be sort-of chef themselves. On the menu, you can find Terra’s Hot Stone–a Westholme wagyu beef abreast of a pomegranate-vinaigrette micro salad and a cranberry-pistachio biscotti–to which you will cook the wagyu to your liking on the hot stone. You’ll also find a do-it-yourself dessert complementary to the handcrafted concept, called Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake, where you will melt the creamsicle with a pour of a warmed sweet sauce over a version of citrus cremeux.

In addition to the fall-inspired dinner and dessert menu, Chef Ventura has also debuted both a brunch and a lunch menu, featuring hearty dishes with a warm and savory twist to traditional favorites such as the pumpkin pancakes and short ribs eggs benedict, as well as a vegetarian plate, pozole verde, a hominy dish that features white beans, poblano, radish and shredded cabbage cilantro. For guests who favor meat, they can enjoy the Cowboy Chicken, a spatchcock chicken alongside pepper jack cheese, cherry BBQ sauce, crispy onion and micro cilantro.

Terra Tempe Kitchen & Spirits is open daily for breakfast, 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; lunch, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and dinner, 5 to 10 p.m.
