This isn’t your typical 19th hole. Sure, The Phoenician Tavern offers the ideal spot to kick back with a cold beer after a round of golf. But it also dishes up elevated pub fare that would be right at home at any fine-dining establishment.
Found near The Phoenician‘s top-notch golf course, The Phoenician Tavern is a no-brainer for a post-round nosh or resort guests craving a casual meal. Visitors will find a lively indoor-outdoor bar patio, spacious booths and large screens for catching the day’s sporting events. For a real treat, guests can pop by every Saturday night from 8 to 10 p.m. to enjoy dueling pianos.
With a focus on local craft beers, the lengthy drink list is chock-full of beloved names like Huss Brewing, Four Peaks, Mother Road Brewery, The Shop Beer Co. and Uncle Bear’s. Tempting cocktails like the Brulee Peach Old Fashioned and Five-Diamond Manhattan even feature the resort’s own Phoenician Woodford Reserve Bourbon.
The jumbo wings and pull-apart pretzel are tasty starters after a day on the green, followed by a hearty handheld. Favorites include the crab roll, served on a toasted dill bun, and The Cowboy Burger with free-range bison, bacon, cheddar, steak sauce, fried tobacco onions and jalapenos. For a heartier option, diners can stick a fork in the 14-oz. split-bone ribeye steak, lamb chop and smoked half chicken before digging into an over-the-top banana split milkshake for dessert.
The Phoenician Tavern is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Happy hour is served all day, Tuesday to Thursday, and 3 to 5 p.m., Friday to Monday. Through Sept. 3, diners can opt for the tavern’s two-course Culinary Countdown menu for $25, with entree options of the triple-bacon burger and kobe beef slider trio paired with a side and drink of choice (craft beer trio, house margarita or soft drink).
