The sixth location from Genuine Concepts’ growing restaurant collection, The VIG Park West, is set to open in early 2023 in the heart of the Peoria Sports & Entertainment District with its first-ever pizza oven and staple neighborhood bites.
Led by renowned chef Jeremy Pacheco, The VIG Park West is the newest addition to the restaurant lineup to open in Arizona, following locations in McCormick Ranch, Arcadia, Uptown Phoenix and more. The hyper-local concept is now making a new home in the West Valley in the Peoria Sports & Entertainment District, slated to open in early 2023.
The new space will offer The VIG’s staple neighborhood tavern vibe, with a light-filled indoor-outdoor space. The new location’s design was inspired by timeless elements like stone, plaster and exposed wood with subtle nods to the nearby Luke Air Force Base, including a horseshoe-shaped central bar reminiscent of an airplane.
“As one of the first locations inside a traditional shopping center, we wanted to make sure The VIG Park West’s look and feel really speaks to the neighborhood and honors the unique history here in the Northwest Valley,” says architect Artie Vigil of AV3 Design Studio, in a press release.
Unlike other VIG locations, The VIG Park West will feature a pizza oven in its kitchen to aid in crafting the most upscale tavern fare to enjoy alongside its signature Vignature cocktails, craft beer and wine. An assortment of flatscreens can also be found in the space, showcasing the latest games and creating the ultimate kickback spot.
“It’s not a sports bar,” Virgil says, “but because it’s near the arenas, it will have a chameleon-like ability to transform into the perfect space to hang out on game days thanks to extensive TV’s and the flexible indoor-outdoor spaces.”
