Get ready for celebratory cheers and a whole lot of charm because the Valley’s favorite neighborhood tavern, The VIG, is making its way to Paradise Valley in 2026. Plans for this little slice of paradise nestled within the revitalized 100-acre space of the former PV Mall include a custom-built, indoor-outdoor bespoke design that’s sure to steal your heart (and your appetite) with its desert garden vibes and gorgeous park-like setting.
This marks the eighth location of this beloved neighborhood Genuine Concepts tavern, but with a unique twist, reflecting the spirit and history of Paradise Valley. Expect mid-century modern vibes, with subtle nods to the town’s unique history, notably the 1970s-era mid-century modern post-and-beam entryway, authentic adobe brick accents, and floor-to-ceiling windows that seamlessly bring the stunning desert landscape right into the dining area.
“The VIG has always been about serving the neighborhood,” says Tucker Woodbury, Genuine Concepts founder, in a press release. “We’ve been looking at this area for a long time, so when this opportunity came up to create our own vibrant and totally unique building in the middle of this reborn neighborhood landmark, we jumped on the opportunity.”
Imagine sipping cocktails on a spacious patio surrounded by lush landscaping and whimsical conversations being had in cozy private nooks. An Arizona Room featuring a semi-private desert garden will make you feel at one with the natural beauty of the area, all while enjoying mouthwatering food in a relaxed yet vibrant setting.
Artie A. Vigil III of AV3 design studio led the custom creative design. “Paradise Valley Mall was built in 1978, so the goal for this tavern location is to pay homage to design details of that era, while also incorporating Arizona-specific materials, such as dark woods, copper and adobe bricks sourced from one of the state’s last remaining Adobe suppliers,” Vigil says, in a press release.
Renowned chef Jeremy Pacheco will have you nodding “yes, chef” in every bite of his food lover’s dream menu. Open daily for lunch and dinner, with a weekend brunch and happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m., it’s the perfect place to unwind. Pacheco’s menu highlights will include flavor-popping crispy calamari and shrimp as well as burrata served on grilled country bread. Savor the ASMR IG-worthy crunch of his chicken chopped salad, and the drizzle from the soon-to-be viral hot honey chicken sandwich.
“We’re proud to welcome The VIG to PV,” says Mike Ebert, managing partner at RED Development, in a press release. “Our approach has been intentional, curating a mix of the top local and national restaurants with the goal of creating a dynamic dining experience. The VIG is a natural fit, enhancing the vibrant atmosphere and perfectly aligned with our vision for restaurants that bring energy and connection to the community. We know it will further enrich Paradise Valley as a premier dining destination.”
