True Food Kitchen, with its mission to inspire locals to eat better, feel better and live better, opens in Tucson on Nov. 13 at La Encantada.
True Food Kitchen’s menu will focus on nutrient-dense staple ingredients intentionally sourced from the world’s most responsible growers, farmers and producers, committed to growing seasonally and sustainability.

Originally founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, Tucson native and renowned medical doctor, True Food Kitchen’s mission is to inspire people to eat better, feel better and live better. As for why Tucson, why now? “We have always been looking to expand in our home state of Arizona, and Tucson is the perfect move for our brand, says True Food Kitchen’s CEO John Williams, in a press release. “As we celebrate our 15th-year anniversary, we couldn’t think of a better time to bring this experience to our founder Dr. Weil’s backyard. With our commitment to serving fresh, wholesome and delicious dishes, we can’t wait to become a beloved part of Tucson’s culinary landscape.”
As far as the menu deets, get ready to dive in by the forkful. Highlights include shareable plates like edamame dumplings with dashi, white truffle oil and herbs, plus crave-able bowls and salads, such as the organic Tuscan kale salad. An ever-changing selection of seasonal pizzas, hearty pastas, grass-steak meats and responsibly sourced/line-caught seafood will keep you feeling great morning, noon and night.

The health-focused mission doesn’t stop at the wholesome ingredients in signature dishes but continues throughout the beverage menu. Enjoy fresh-pressed juices, organic teas and natural refreshers, such as pink lemonade made with dragon fruit, and green juice lovers will rejoice sipping on True Food Kitchen’s kale aid. For the 21-and-over crowd, sip and savor an extensive selection of craft beers, sustainably grown wines and handcrafted cocktails made with fresh ingredients and featuring organic and additive-free spirits.
