True Food Kitchen is expanding to Tempe’s Mill Avenue this summer, bringing locals a more convenient way to eat the better-for-you fare with its first-ever takeout-only location, True Food To Go.
An award-winning, wellness-focused brand, True Food Kitchen was established in Phoenix in 2008 and has since curated a community rooted in using food to increase the longevity of the planet and its inhabitants. The kitchen features a collection of 43 full-service restaurants across the United States, with its 44th site set to be the collection’s first-ever to-go counter: True Food To Go.
The Tempe dining destination will feature its staple, health-driven plates curated by a renowned doctor of integrative medicine and True Food Kitchen founder, Dr. Andrew Weil, in addition to specialty items created just for the location. Among the selection are hefty salads, sandwiches, bowls and exclusive items like flatbreads, build-your-own protein plates and breakfast items available all day long. Unique sips will also be on the menu at the Tempe location, including various slushies, beer and wine. Each slush can be spiked with alcohol and will serve as a fun cool-down method this summer.
Each item, including alcoholic beverages, will be available for delivery or takeout at the walk-up counter. Though True Food To Go is a grab-and-go-style stop, the destination offers indoor and outdoor seating (including a grass area for picnics) for those looking to enjoy their meals onsite.
