Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, located in Carlsbad, California, is one of the most beautiful properties we have ever visited. With over 600 rooms, 2 championship golf courses, 6 on property dining options, 6 pools, an award-winning spa and a variety of shops, you may never even leave the resort during your stay.
Dining
Omni La Costa Resort has 6 different dining options on property, making it easy to enjoy a delicious meal without even getting in the car. Our favorite restaurant was VUE because of the spectacular views it offers (hence the name). Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner here while enjoying the views of the golf course and rolling hills.
Bob’s Steak & Chop House is a traditional American prime steakhouse that serves dinner Monday through Saturday. Diversions is the lounge/bar option, great for catching a game or a late night drink. They also have fire pits to sit around, a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The Marketplace is a great casual spot to grab coffee in the morning or a snack throughout the day. You can also pick up a bottle of wine here to take back to the room. If you decide to venture off property, we highly recommend checking out Tommy V’s Urban Kitchen & Bar, just a couple miles from the resort. This restaurant is owned by the Maggiore family, who is a favorite here in Phoenix, owning Tomaso’s and Hash Kitchen here.
Pools
Omni La Costa Resort is extremely kid-friendly, offering a “Kidtopia” Kids Club as well as a Sandy Beach Family Pool and Splash Landing Pools that include two 100-foot waterslides and a water play area. If you’re looking for a poolside option for a girls day or relaxing romance, the Edge Adult Pool is the place to be. This pool is Exclusively for guests 21 and over. There are cabanas and hot tubs, but the best part is the beautiful views.
There is also a pool at the spa and a couple of other relaxing pool options located throughout the property.
Things to Do
Golf is obviously one of the biggest attractions at Omni La Costa Resort, with two championship golf courses designed by PGA legends. You can also check out the award-winning spa to enjoy a facial, massage, pedicure, a blowout or makeup application. There is also a spa pool and cafe, so you can make a whole day out of your spa visit.
Omni La Costa Resort also has a handful of shops on property that include great gifts and high-end fashions including Lilly Pulitzer. If you choose to venture off property, the ocean is just a few miles away if you want to do a beach day and LEGOLAND is just 6 miles from the resort.
