Bar Brawl Series

Cala, a Scottsdale-based and Mediterranean-inspired restaurant led by Chef Beau MacMillan, is hosting the valley-wide industry favorite Bar Brawl Series featuring Arizona’s finest bartenders and mixologists. The first competition is scheduled for Sunday, August 7, and will continue every Sunday for the rest of August. The free event will be full of fun and riveting challenges with opportunities for guests to participate.
In partnership with the Senna House, a Curio Collection by Hilton, Bar Brawl Alumna Eddie Garcia of COCKTAIL U Of Arizona, Brittney O’Brien and DJ Hybrid 33, Beau MacMillan and Cala will host a Bar Brawl where some of the best local bartenders and mixologists will compete against one another for a chance to win Arizona’s Hottest Craft Cocktail Crown. The winner will also receive a $2,500 donation to their charity of choice on behalf of Tito’s Vodka and an all-expense paid trip.
The event is free and open to the public, but guests will be able to purchase food and beverages. Senna House is also offering a special booking rate of $125 per night for all attendees and friends and family of competitors. Confirmed competing bartenders include Jordan Chandler of Brickyard, Tyka Chheng of KHLA, Tony Marron representing Maple & Ash, Daniel Friedman of Undertow, Rashon Dominguez of Killer Whale Sex Club and Michael Lopez of Clever Koi/Across The Pond.
The first round of judges includes former-NFL player and Super Bowl champion A.Q. Shipley, MMA and UFC fighter Aaron Simpson, and local celebrity chef, Rene Andrade of Bacanora.
