Ah, it’s the millionaire dollar question – what to wear?! With such impressive fashions coming down the runway, the pressure is on to look good at Phoenix Fashion Week. So we asked Vanessa Gonzales from the Phoenix Fashion Week Style Team for some tips on what to wear to Phoenix Fashion Week.
One of Vanessa’s tips for dressing for the red carpet is to wear colors and patterns that flatter your figure. The obvious colors that always look great are black, navy and plums. Also, make sure whatever you wear you are completely comfortable and confident in! Some great patterns that flatter figures are soft and light patterns, vertical stripes, and embroidery because it can distract the eye from bulges that you don’t want people to concentrate on.
Also, in Phoenix, October doesn’t quite feel like fall yet and is still a bit warm. So the best thing to do is incorporate some of the “cooler” fall trends like midi skirts, open heeled booties and silk button downs. Some of my personal favorite trends are Gray matters, pleats, midi skirts and leather pieces. Vanessa also thinks statement jewelry is absolutely key and can really take your look to the next level. Skirts and dresses are always a great option and you can always wear a great blazer or statement jacket for when it cools down a bit at night. She also says to remember these are dressy nights, so opt for heels, booties and wedges rather than ballet flats and gladiators.
Vanessa says one of the most important things to consider when thinking about what to wear is incorporating your own personal style.
