Phoenix Suns-Inspired Cocktails

The Phoenix Suns are living up to the team name–they are on fire! These Valley restaurants are toasting to the team’s success with Phoenix Suns-inspired cocktails.

Angry Crab Shack is rallying with the Valley thanks to its CP3 Hurricane, available for the duration of the playoffs. The cocktail is crafted with Bacardi Rum, fresh orange juice, pina agua fresca and passionfruit guava syrup.

Match Market and Bar celebrates the team’s winning streak with the festive Point God smash cocktail, named in honor of Chris Paul.

Phoenix-based Tarbell’s serves up The Sun King, an orange drink with the combo of lemon and lime juices, simple syrup and Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon with Arizona-made Blue Clover Burnt Orange Bitters, garnished with an orange twist. The Gorilla’s Dream–a purple sip–is crafted with local Blue Clover Gin, Cointreau Orange Liqueur, lillet blanc and lemon juice.

Blue Clover Distillery in Scottsdale has whipped up a sunset-inspired Signature Suns Drink, with its own Blue Clover grapefruit vodka, Italian aperol and lemon juice, and is topped with prosecco garnished with a dried blood orange wheel.

The Rising Sun from Old Town’s Belle’s Nashville Kitchen is a purple-and-orange tipple with Ketel One Vodka, Gran Gala Orange Liqueur, club soda, sweet pea flower simple syrup and a splash of Sprite. On top, a full orange moon “basketball.”

Available through the finals, the Purple Haze cocktail at Kaizen features gin, St. Elder liquor, lemon juice, simple syrup, soda and butterfly pea powder.

Not a cocktail but just as delicious: the SunShake at Miracle Mile Deli is a Creamsicle shake topped with Phoenix Suns-perfect purple sprinkles and caramel.
