14th Annual Walkin’ on Main

Taking place on Saturday, Nov. 11, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Old Town Cottonwood, the 14th Annual Walkin’ on Main features a classic car show, wine tasting, live music and local vendors–and, just for veterans, extra wine tasting tickets. Veterans Day BBQ at Barrio Brewing Co.

On Saturday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Barrio Brewing Co. in Mesa hosts a Veterans Day BBQ in honor of all military personnel. Veterans and their families are invited to enjoy a day of fun and festivities including a backyard BBQ menu featuring beer brats, hot dogs, burgers, potato salad, chips and churros along with Pepsi products and Barrio canned beer; activities such as face painters, patio games and coloring for the kids; and giveaways from the prize wheel. United States Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors at The Ravenscroft

The United States Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors, a 19-member ensemble and the official touring big band of the United States Army, will perform at The Ravenscroft in Scottsdale on Friday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m. for a free Veterans Day edition of Jazzbird Nights. Experience an evening filled with jazz and choose from a fine selection of wine, craft beers and catered dinner options for purchase. East Valley Veterans Parade

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 11, the East Valley Veterans Parade provides locals an opportunity to gather in honoring, thanking and celebrating local veterans, active military and their families. The parade kicks off on Center Street and University in Mesa and runs south on Center Street to 1st Street before turning west onto 1st Street and continues to Robson.

Live Life: A Songwriter’s Music Festival

Live Life: A Songwriter’s Music Festival, taking place in Gilbert on Nov. 11, promises an exciting celebration of country music, boasting a star-studded lineup of top songwriters and a headlining performance from David Lee Murphy. In addition to the live music, the festival will feature an array of attractions, including beer, wine, full bars, food trucks, axe throwing, cornhole and merchandise. To honor Veterans Day, a portion of the festival’s proceeds will be donated to the HeartStrings Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families. Coach Pain Academy

Coach Pain Academy and Verde at Cooley Station in Gilbert hosts a special workout on Veterans Day. The high-energy party will celebrate the men and women who serve our country, and the green at the Verde at Cooley Station will be decked out in flags and the National Anthem will be played. Event-goers will be challenged to get through a grueling workout to honor the hard work of service men and women. The event is free to all veterans and first responders (must show ID). All other attendees can secure a spot for $25 (ages 18-plus); and $15 (ages 12 to 17).
