With Labor Day just around the corner, these Valley resorts and restaurants offer a festive lineup for enjoying a safe holiday weekend. Whether you’re craving a family staycation with oodles of pool time or a straight-from-the-grill feast, there are plenty of ways to kick your feet up in Arizona.

Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia offers an exclusive 30 percent off Select Guest exclusive offer (book through Sept. 30), making a perfect Labor Day getaway. Mountain Shadows

Arizona residents can take advantage of a waived resort fee and complimentary parking with the Fee-Free Staycation deal at Mountain Shadows. Kick off a weekend of golfing and pool time on Friday at 6 p.m. with a special Champagne sabering, complimentary tasting and toast on the Hearth ’61 patio with the Sunset Champagne Sabering before savoring a meal at Hearth ’61.

At Hotel Valley Ho, relax poolside under the palms with a boozy punch pouch in hand (pictured at top of page) on Saturday and Sunday, with DJs spinning from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. and plenty of space for socially distanced lounging. Through Sept. 7, The Phoenician offers its summer staycation package with a starting rate of $169 with complimentary self-parking. Rate plan: D58. Plus, Mowry & Cotton will be reopening Thursday, Sept. 3–just in time for Labor Day weekend. A new menu, featuring former favorites as well as some premiere offerings, will be unveiled. 

Through Sept. 30, The Hermosa Inn offers its Summer in Paradise Getaway with rates from $159, plus tax and resort fee of $34. The package includes accommodations, two drink tickets, $25 daily F&B credits, poolsides treats and more. Plus, Sunday through Thursday stays can take advantage of Fee Free Weekdays and enjoy all of the Summer in Paradise inclusions with resort fee waived ($34 savings). Offer is valid through Sept. 7.

If you’ll be celebrating Labor Day weekend at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, resort guests can indulge in a killer pulled-pork sandwich at the newly renovated poolside restaurant, Just A Splash, where the pork is slow-roasted all day in its massive outside cooker. Guests will also be able to enjoy street-style carne asada or chicken tacos with all of the fixings at the main pool’s taco bar.

Hash Kitchen

To celebrate Labor Day weekend, Hash Kitchen’s dining rooms will be open and online ordering will be available for takeout from Sept. 5 through Sept. 7. With the summer coming to an end, Hash Kitchen will have season-inspired brunch faves like s’mores pancakes, banana split brioche French toast (pictured) and lobster eggs benedict alongside plenty of brunch cocktails.

Cheers to Labor Day weekend with one of The Sicilian Butcher’s Italian-influenced cocktails like an Aperol Spritz or Sangria Peche and an epic five-foot charcuterie board that can feed at least of group of four. The Sicilian Butcher is open for dine in and takeout.

Open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. for takeout orders only at The Sicilian Baker, guests can treat themselves to Labor Day grab-and-go eats and sweets like an iced coffee from the espresso bar, gelato or a brioche con gelato (Italian ice cream sandwich).

Tomaso’s will be open during Labor Day weekend serving up authentic Italian dishes like carpaccio, prawns caprese and seafood medley papal cioppino.

Zinqué

Celebrate the holiday weekend with brunch dishes like baked eggs, brioche French toast with fresh berries, Croque-Monsieur and savory tartine variations like tuna tartare and niçoise at Zinqué, near Scottsdale Fashion Square. Zinqué’s dining room and outdoor patio are open; plus, they offer online ordering and delivery.

All day on Sept. 7, Cowboy Club in Sedona celebrates Labor Day with delicious food and great entertainment. Guests can enjoy “Red, White and Beef” specials (featuring all-natural Red Angus beef from Meyers Farm in southwest Montana) plus live music on the patio, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., featuring David Parker.

Wildflower will be extending breakfast offerings at selected locations. Exclusively on Sept. 7, breakfast will be offered from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wildflower restaurants including Arrowhead Gateway in Glendale; Aspen Place at the Sawmill in Flagstaff; Palm Pavilions West in Goodyear; Prescott Gateway Mall; Scottsdale Seville; the Shops at Pinion Point in Sedona; Sonoran Village North Scottsdale; and Tempe Square.
