Scottsdale Fashion Square Gets Back 2 Cool for School with fashion show, beauty bar and open model casting for ages 5 and up. The event will take place at the mall on Aug. 7. 

As students get ready to head back to school, Scottsdale Fashion Square will be ready to help them get back to cool as they strut their stuff into classrooms looking and feeling their best.

With all eyes will be on Scottsdale Fashion Square’s Palm Court on Aug. 7 from Noon until 3 p.m., shoppers will have the chance to take in an afternoon of activities from a fashion show featuring the hottest styles and both beauty bars and style stations to a Selfie WRLD Instagram experience and a once-in-a-lifetime modeling opportunity.

Rocking to the tunes of a DJ spinning the latest beats, shoppers will see the latest styles during a runway fashion show at 1 and 2 p.m. from Psycho Bunny, Levi’s, Knee Deep Denim, Tumi, Buckle, Zumiez and more. The shows will be complemented by beauty bars and style stations from Dillard’s and Henna Shoppe.

Additionally, FORD/Robert Black Agency is holding an open call model and actor search for ages 5 years and up. Scouting all genders, races and sizes, no experience is necessary other than bringing your best self. During the open call, parents and students will have the chance to hear from industry veteran Matt Englehart who will share his insight on the world of acting and on-camera work in the Valley and beyond. As well, Sheree Harwell, owner of the agency will discuss the ins and outs of the industry, while New Faces Director Adam Hays talks about the ever-changing social media influence on the fashion industry and Kids Director Sheena Adams shares more about local market opportunities for children.

Equipped with information about the latest styles and hottest trends, Scottsdale Fashion Square is hosting a unique Instagram experience pop-up. Selfie WRLD, a one-of-a-kind Selfie Museum and arguably one of the most Instagrammable places in the West, allows shoppers to immerse themselves in fun, eye-catching, interactive art installations to put their best foot forward on social.
