Evening Entertainment Group, a nightlife and restaurant development company based in Phoenix, has opened its latest venture, Backyard at Desert Ridge, a dog-friendly bar and grill that keeps the party going long after the sun goes down.
Backyard at Desert Ridge isn’t just a bar and grill. It’s a dog-friendly space that redefines the concept of indoor-outdoor entertainment. Backyard promises an unrivaled patio party experience. Spanning 8,000 square feet, this climate-controlled indoor-outdoor oasis features an array of games, including a pop-a-shot, corn hole, Jenga and Connect Four, in addition to a stage for live music.
As you enter the restaurant, the hostess stand looks exactly like a grill, setting the tone for a backyard BBQ experience. Colorful outdoor patio furniture and vibrant murals create the quintessential retro patio vibe. The space has not one but two fully stocked bars. One stands in the center of the venue, while the other sits on the right side of the restaurant, backed by 70s-inspired wallpaper.
The heart of the Backyard at Desert Ridge experience lies in its gameday entertainment capabilities. The venue has four colossal 18-ft.-by.-10-ft. LED screens capable of showing up to 32 games simultaneously, complemented by a state-of-the-art sound and light system.
Executive Chef Chris Knight, formerly of Sedona’s award-winning Enchantment Resort and Caesars Entertainment, curated the menu for Backyard at Desert Ridge. Guests can indulge in an array of elevated bar food paired with craft cocktails and a selection of over 40 beers. The menu features shared snacks like Backyard nachos, fall-off-the-bone BBQ short ribs and chicken wings, along with healthier options and entrees like the Southwest cobb salad, BBQ-glazed salmon and the signature homestyle meatloaf served with mashed potatoes, peas, carrots and brown gravy. Backyard’s hospitality extends to your furry friends, offering a select dog-friendly menu and puptails.
As the sun sets, Backyard transforms into a nightlife destination with DJs, and late-night drink specials, showcasing the nightlight expertise that Evening Entertainment Group is known for. Backyard at Desert Ridge marks the concept’s third location, following the success in Dallas and Fort Worth.
