Waste Not Hosts Empty Bowls

Waste Not, a nonprofit that has been feeding the hungry in the Valley for more than 30 years, will hold a family-friendly Empty Bowls event with food, music and beautiful bowls on Friday, Oct. 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sponsored by Waste Management and BOK Financial, this community event will be held at the Arizona Center in Downtown Phoenix.
Each bowl is locally made and handcrafted by members and friends of the Arizona Clay Association, who has supported the mission of Waste Not for 30 years. A $20 bowl purchase enables Waste Not to provide 100 meals to people in need and includes lunch from Salad and Go. For those who need an amazing gift or can’t choose just one bowl, additional bowls are just $10.
The bowls serve as gifts for the upcoming holiday season or as a new addition to a collection, but most of all, they serve as a reminder that someone’s bowl is always empty in the Valley and around the globe.
Free to attend; no ticket or registration required for entry. For $20, attendees get a salad lunch and a bowl of their choosing.
