Central Bistro, a new restaurant concept with flavors of Italy and France, opened at 32nd Street and Camelback Road in the Biltmore neighborhood.
The modern yet relaxed surroundings of the new restaurant will showcase an exhibition kitchen behind a wall of glass, with a wood-fired grill and traditional Italian pizza oven. The space is adorned with resonant elements of brick, marble, mirrors, crescent booths, and reclaimed wood. As guests peruse the menu, they will encounter exciting ingredients for every palate. All items at the bistro are made from scratch daily, including the handmade pasta, sauces and salad dressings. A large portion of the ingredients will be sourced from local purveyors and farmers.
At lunch, freshly made soups, salads and sandwiches take precedence. Lighter dishes will satisfy mid-day appetites, from the Prusciutto + Stracchino on focaccia to an Arugula Salad made with roasted pears, goat cheese, almonds and lemon oil drizzle. As the day transitions to evening, hearty flavors reign with handmade pastas, Neapolitan style pizza, and substantial entrées. Start with the elegant Seafood Tower from Central Bistro’s Raw Bar or share Steak Tartare Puttanesca Style with hand cut prime filet and black pepper lavash. Once an appetite is ignited, move on to entrées such as the Central Bolognese with house made chocolate pappardelle, veal, pork, and beef in a light tomato ragu; Central Bouillabaisse with market seafood in a white wine saffron jus, and wood grilled toast; Duck Risotto made with smoked duck, wild mushrooms, crispy snow peas and caciocavallo; or big plates like the Filet of Beef “Rossini” in a barolo-porcini reduction and foie gras. Fresh daily desserts are available from in-house Pastry Chef Kristen Salinas.
A great way to end your weekend is with Central Bistro’s Champagne Sunday Brunch. The restaurant will serve variations of the classic Benedict, a selection of gourmet omelets, sweet morning morsels, and more.
Enhance the bistro’s flavors with a broad spectrum of wine featuring over 250 labels. Or grab a seat at the bar for farm-to-glass cocktails. All cocktails are made to order with fresh-squeezed juices and syrups crafted by experienced Mixologist Matthew Doerr. Guests can enjoy these drinks at special prices for Happy Hour daily from 2pm to 6pm, as well as Reverse Happy Hour Monday – Saturday from 10pm to 1am.
