Nov. 15 and Nov. 18 to Dec. 31, Tuesdays to Sundays: World of Illumination

Desert Diamond Casino, Glendale; Tempe Diablo Stadium

World of Illumination, producer of the world’s largest drive-through animated light show, has set up shop at a duo of Arizona locations this holiday season (Desert Diamond Casino in Glendale and Tempe Diablo Stadium). The Tempe attraction debuts Nov. 15; the Glendale light show starts Nov. 18. Visitors will experience a different show of dancing LED lights, towering structures and more at each location: the all-new Reindeer Road is set for Glendale and Cosmic Sleighride in Tempe. Best of all, it is all enjoyed from the comfort of your car. Shows run Tuesday to Sunday, from 6 to 10 p.m., through Dec. 31.

Nov. 17 to Dec. 24: Santa’s Winter Wonderland

From holiday character meet-and-greets to charitable giving opportunities, shoppers will find all they need and more at Scottsdale Fashion Square from Nov. 17 to Dec. 24. Santa’s Winter Wonderland is an annual delight, and those who pre-book a visit will receive a free personalized call from Santa before their visit, as well as a free personalized video afterward. On Dec. 3, families can take part in the Santa Cares Sensory-Friendly Event from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. or Santa Paws Photos from 4 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 20, Nov. 27 and Dec. 4. Plus, Scottsdale Fashion Square is once again teaming up with the Salvation Army to host the Angel Tree program, which runs Nov. 16 to Dec. 21. The annual Shop It Forward program is also underway, allowing shoppers to double down on their giving by benefiting local nonprofits with receipts from their purchases at the shopping center. Every purchase made at Scottsdale Fashion Square now through Feb. 15, 2024, is eligible for five points per $1 spent. Bonus points are available for select retail categories, and families visiting Santa can earn triple points on any photo package purchase from Nov. 16 through Dec. 24.

Nov. 17 to Dec. 31: Desert Farm Lights

Starting Nov. 17, the West Valley will be set aglow once more by thousands of twinkling lights during Desert Farm Lights, a family-friendly holiday light installation that spans eight acres at Justice Brothers Ranch. Activations include a merry horse-drawn hayride, a DIY toy shop for little elves, giant snow globes to roast s’more in, kid’s inflatables and much more. Desert Farm Lights focuses on all attendees by offering low-sensory play nights this year as well as many accessible entertainment offerings.

Nov. 22 to Dec. 31, Select Dates: Arizona Lights in the Night

Arizona Lights in the Night holiday drive-through light show is back on select nights from Nov. 22 to Dec. 31, from 7 to 9 p.m. Guests can ooh and aah at more than million lights synchronized to holiday music alongside glittering candy canes, snowmen, presents and more. New this year is a VIP train ride that can take families through the light show for a one-of-a-kind ride.

Phoenix Zoo

An annual tradition for many locals, this year ZooLights guests can expect new animal lanterns and light displays, a brand-new 200-ft.-long lighted tunnel and the largest floating tree in North America. ZooLights takes place nightly from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Open Nov. 24 to Dec. 24 on select nights, from 6 to 10 p.m., Pratt Brothers Christmas at Rawhide will feature more than six million lights, a dazzling light show, a magical train ride, a nightly parade, jaw-dropping stunt shows, holiday shopping and live entertainment. On Dec. 2 from 6 to 9:30 p.m., the Greater Phoenix Equality Chamber of Commerce kicks off the holiday season by hosting the 15th Annual Festival of Trees at the Southwest Center. The holiday event in Phoenix will be emceed by Barbara Seville and will showcase a silent auction with a number of beautifully decorated holiday trees, wreaths, menorahs and other displays, all sponsored and decorated by local businesses.
