Padre Murphy’s

On Thursday, March 17, 2016, Padre Murphy’s will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day for it’s 23rd year with a day of live music, green drinks and Irish fare under the big top. Doors open, and the green drinks start flowing, at 10 a.m., along with the traditional corned beef and cabbage, leprechauns, and a full lineup of live music. There will also be clowns and face painters for the kids from 2pm to 5pm. There will be a $10 cover after 4pm.

The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen

At The Lodge Sasquatch Kitchen in Tempe, the St. Patrick’s Day festivities will last all day and throughout the night, packed with high-quality food, Irish Car Bombs, beer, and celebration. The restaurant and bar that is adjacent to Downtown Tempe’s Farmer Arts District and Arizona State University campus will offer half-pint glasses of Guinness Draught and $8 Irish Car Bomb specials with Baileys Irish Cream, Jameson Irish Whiskey and Bushmills Irish Whiskey.

The Thirsty Lion

The Thirsty Lion, a gastropub which blends American and European traditions, is hosting a three-day festival of food, drinks and fun for St. Patrick’s Day. They will be serving up traditional Irish favorites with a modern twist, including Irish Beef Stew, Bacon Cheddar Potato Cakes, Irish Shepherd’s Pie, and Jameson Bing Cherry Bread Pudding. Not to be left out, several Irish cocktails and beer flights will also be available. The restaurant will hold musical and dance performances Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18. Performers will include Irish dancers, bagpipe players and several high-profile local Irish performers, including Steve Ayotte and Shallow Waters. There will be a charitable event on Saturday, March 19, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., to raise money for St. Baldrick’s Foundation in the fight against childhood cancer. During the event, the restaurant will be gathering pledges from participants willing to shave their heads to become “shavees.” Guests don’t need to have their heads shaved to donate.

Bar Louie

Bar Louie is hosting “Shamrock ‘N Roll” on Thursday, March 17 and Saturday, March 19, where $4 green beers and $5 Jameson drinks will be on tap all day as patrons cheer on the Fightin’ Irish during the televised NCAA Tournament. The St. Paddy’s Day party really heats up Saturday night when the restaurant is overtaken with Irish sights and sounds as live entertainment pumps up guests looking to celebrate. Performers including local Irish performers Levi and Tim.

Tilted Kilt

On March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, Tilted Kilt in Tempe celebrates this annual tradition both inside the pub and in the parking lot located at 660 W. Warner Road in Tempe. It will be one of the biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the East Valley. There will be food, drinks, live music, bagpipes and giveaways from 10 a.m. – 2 a.m. A portion of the proceeds that day will benefit the Tempe Diablo charity. While there, people can sample some items from their limited time Irish Hooley menu. The menu includes delicious Slow Roasted Corned Beef and Cabbage, Scotch Eggs and Corned Beef Hash. The Irish Hooley drink menu includes green beer, Irish Car Bombs and the Lucky Kiss shot made with Jameson Irish Whiskey, Malibu Rum, Midori and pineapple juice. All Tilted Kilt locations will offer the Irish Hooley food and drink menus.
