The Scottsdale Resort & Spa Unveils $40-Million Renovation

The Scottsdale Resort & Spa, a Curio Collection Resort by Hilton, located in the highly desirable McCormick Ranch neighborhood in Scottsdale, is nearing completion on its property-wide $40-million renovation.

The 50-year-old resort that spans almost 17 acres has undergone a remarkable transition, completely reimagining the 278 spacious guest rooms, modernizing and expanding the Luna Spa and fitness center, and revealing four new distinct dining concepts. The massive renovation of The Scottsdale Resort & Spa that started nearly two years ago is finally coming to life and proves to be more impressive than anyone could have imagined.

The new design throughout The Scottsdale Resort combines modern sophistication and the signature Southwestern charm it has always been known for. Immediately upon stepping into the lobby, you are greeted with the most aesthetically pleasing furnishings and decor that sets the tone for the new look and feel of the entire resort.

Barnaby’s Café

Renowned Valley chef Ken Arneson introduces four new dining concepts for hotel guests and locals to experience. One of our favorite new spaces at the resort is Barnaby’s Café. Serving coffee, wine and light bites, this charming cafe opens up onto a beautiful patio with fire pits and plentiful seating. Retail products at Barnaby’s feature unique and local gifts such as Laura’s Gourmet Granola, Cutino Sauce Co. and Cerreta Candy Company.

La Forgata

The Scottsdale Resort’s new signature restaurant is La Forgata, serving Sonoran fare made with locally sourced ingredients. Open for breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner, this all-day dining outlet offers authentic Southwest flavors. Highlights include the Chile Verde & Eggs for breakfast, the KW Brisket Burger for lunch and slow-braised mole short rib for dinner. For a starting dish or snack, be sure to order the Sonoran Fire Elote with mesquite-grilled corn, house-made chorizo chili aioli and cotija cheese, served with blue corn chips.

The Madam

The Social Boardroom at The Scottsdale Resort, open Wednesday through Saturday, offers a causal lounge environment for guests to unwind with a pool table, shuffleboard, board games and even a golf simulator, plus drinks and small bites available to order. Hidden within the walls of The Social Boardroom is The Madam, a Roaring 20’s-inspired speakeasy serving classic cocktails. Both spaces are available for private group rentals with advance reservations.

Known for being a conference hotel since it’s inception, The Scottsdale Resort’s new renovation lends itself more to leisure guests. The updated guest rooms blend heritage with modern elegance, creating a unique fusion of contemporary sophistication and authentic Southwestern charm. Each room features luxurious textures, including leather accents, intricately embroidered headboards and hand-carved wood, accented by vibrant modern Southwestern patterns.

Business and leisure guests can savor the art of relaxation by one of resort’s two distinctive pools, or get some reps in at the newly designed and expanded fitness center. Featuring inspiring murals, rows of Peloton bikes and treadmills, weight training equipment and a set of Theraguns, this gym will still have you feeling like you are on vacation. Luna Spa is still currently under renovation and will be revealed in late Spring 2024.
