The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch Set to Undergo Renovation

After recently being purchased by Driftwood Capital, The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch is set to undergo a multi-million-dollar renovation, making for the largest undertaking at the resort in 50 years.

The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch features 362 rooms, spanning across 16.2 acres. The renovation, set to begin this summer, will update each guest suite, common area, amenity space and food and beverage destination, and a total of 80,000 square feet of space will be added to the event venues and spa.

The largest upgrade will be transforming The Stillman Building into a luxury, two-story villa that will reduce the room count to 276 when the resort is completed in early 2023. Once finished, The Scottsdale Resort will be absorbed by Curio Collection by Hilton and join the remarkable collection of upscale hotels.

“The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch holds a very special place in the legacy of Arizona hospitality and we look forward to breathing new life and infusing a vibrant energy into this well-established Scottsdale property,” says Alan Klein, a longtime Valley hospitality leader who was recently named the area general manager for Driftwood Hospitality, in a press release.

Visitors and locals alike can expect to still be able to stay at the resort during the renovations; the vacation destination will remain open while the renovation is completed slowly in phases to not affect the guest experience.

“We will soon be unveiling the resort’s rebranding along with further details about our plans to debut an upscale signature restaurant, a gourmet coffee lounge, an upgraded pool bar and restaurant, among many other high-end touchpoints,” says Klein.
