Best part of working in the Valley’s mixology scene: The absolute best part of working in the Valley in my opinion is the People. Over the years I have been fortunate enough to cultivate many friendships where they allow me to be part of their lives. I enjoy that I can celebrate their happiness with them.

Go-to drink: When someone sits at my bar and they have no idea what to order, I love putting a Classic Daiquiri in front of them. Its a great introduction cocktail being light on the pallet, but also very easy to modify to create something very special. Try it at home! 1.5 oz Your favorite Rum (I like Ron Zacapa) .75 oz Lime Juice .5 oz Simple syrup Shake hard strain and enjoy!

Best advice to an aspiring bartender or mixologist: To the New or Aspiring Mixologist: TASTE EVERYTHING! Building a well rounded palate makes creating a cocktail so much easier. When I am creating a menu to pair with a chefs creation, I am not always able to try my cocktails with the food before hand (especially if you work in pop ups or with rare ingredients) But if you have a good grasp of your palate many times you can create a cocktail that tastes good with little modification.
