Hometown: Rochester, NY

First job: Pushing carts at a grocery store. Character builder, for sure. Reminded me of my place in society.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: Seeking openness in all aspects of my life. Finding cold, natural water sources to cliff dive and swim in.

Person who has impacted your life the most and why: Me. I’m stuck with myself.

Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes and why: Turning the tides of fate. Coming from a [closed-minded] family to moving across the country to find myself, I discovered health, diet, routine, community, mindfulness and created space to chase my dreams.

The biggest obstacle you have overcome: Fear of rejection. I crave it now.

Someone who inspires you and why: Keith Haring. [He] made a decision and went for it–and so shall I.

Favorite quote: “Beauty lives on the other side of discomfort” or “every passing moment is another chance to turn it all around.”

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Jump off the cliff. Don’t be scared. You will not see a net until you jump. You will be sure you will be dashed among the rocks. You won’t. When people see that you’ve made a clear decision to do something daring, they will support you because they dream of doing the same. Everyone wants to jump, but most people don’t. It could be you. It’s going to be terrifying, but the cold, refreshing, healing splash of water surrounding and swirling around your body will be worth the leap.

What you think makes someone fabulous: Well-manicured toenails.
