Fabulous People: John Stewart

John Stewart, the CEO of the meal preparation delivery service Sunfare, has a true passion for making healthy meals easy and accessible to everyone.

First job: “Shop Boy” at used car dealership; detailed cars, picked them up for delivery to dealership, and eventually taught my employer’s kids how to ride motorcycles.

Favorite AZ restaurant: Cafe Monarch, because it provides an incredible dining experience, from the moment you sit down to the moment you leave. I find it to be a romantic spot with great atmosphere, exemplary service, and a phenomenal menu.

Person who has impacted your life the most: My dad – no matter where I was in my life, he always supported me, but never in an overbearing way. He let me be an individual and grow, allowed me to figure things out for myself, but always provided great mentorship, guidance, and unconditional love. I can only hope to live up to the example he set as I raise my own children.

Your biggest accomplishment in your eyes: Starting a family, hands down. From my wedding day to the births of both my sons, my family experience has led me down paths I could never have imagined. It’s been an incredible journey.

The biggest obstacle you have overcome: Learning patience in business and in life.

Someone who inspires you: Bruce Cook – this takes me back to my motocross days; Bruce is someone who has overcome great adversity and continues to do great things.

Favorite quote: “A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.” – Albert Einstein, Sunfare Client (just kidding about the Sunfare client part, lol)

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Don’t focus on what can’t be done… focus on what can be done.

What makes someone fabulous: Honesty, humility, self confidence, and a sense of humor.
