First job: Washing hair at a hairdressing salon.
Favorite ways to spend your free time in AZ: I love to spa! One of my hobbies is going to different spas and trying out new products and services. Scottsdale and Phoenix have so many amazing locations to experience.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: Starting a sunless tanning brand and growing it into a multimillion-dollar company within the first two years of doing business. I started with agoraphobia, panic disorder, a line of credit on my condo and a dog who depended on me to keep him healthy and happy, with a roof over our heads.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Within 48 hours of lockdown during COVID, we transitioned our operations from Los Angeles to Scottsdale, to continue shipping to and servicing our customers.
Someone who inspires you and why: Richard Branson. He is boundless. Many times in my life, when people would say something I wanted to do was impossible, I imagined sitting in a room with Sir Richard Branson and thought about what he would say, and every time, I came away with the deep-seated belief that I could achieve it. Hasn’t failed yet!
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Don’t take yourself too seriously. This is such a fun industry that is inexpensive to start and that can literally change your life and fulfill all your wildest dreams. Take time to get your head right and hold on tight as you journey to the stars!
