Prep & Pastry Gilbert has everything one might want in brunch spot: an open, airy dining space, a large patio, a delectable selection of sweet treats, morning-friendly cocktails and comforting classic dishes. A great place to start is picking a few freshly made, picture-perfect goodies from the pastry case (which can sell out). The cinnamon rolls and scones are favorites, but the honeycomb dossant (a doughnut-croissant hybrid) is a flaky, buttery don’t-miss.
Sweet or savory, Prep & Pastry Gilbert has a wide range of delectable dishes to choose from, whether you’re craving something more suited for breakfast or lunch. For a hearty way to kick off the morning, the fried chicken and herbed brioche French toast, paired with blueberry preserves, is both entirely unique and comforting. A lighter (but still filling) option, the smoked salmon hash is a feel-good bowl rounded out with roasted veggies, Prep’s glorious roasted potatoes, an over-easy egg, horseradish and everything seasoning.
