K-38 was inspired by the street food vendors and neighborhood taquerias found in Baja California, and truly captures the essence of the state, both in its authentic dishes, sips and all-around fun atmosphere. The menu boasts a taste of Mexico with each dish prepared with the freshest, seasonal ingredients. Some of our favorites include the Gnar-chos with green chili queso, cheese, jalapenos, dank sauce, roasted corn, cotija, Valentina sauce, cilantro and guacamole (absolutely to-die-for), as well as the shrimp borrachos, chicken tinga tacos and, for dessert, the crispy churros (à la mode, of course). Each tortilla is homemade daily, GMO-free and gluten allergy-friendly. Also found on the menu is a variety of allergy-, vegan- and vegetarian-friendly dishes like the buffalo cauliflower or magic mushroom tacos.
In addition to its stellar fare, the Mexican joint offers an incredible array of mixed drinks that are almost too pretty to drink, in addition to ice-cold cervezas and wine. Some must-try cocktails include the frosty Mango Heat, with mango, triple sec, lime, chamoy and plata; Michelada de Casa, with a housemade clamato mix, tamarind candy and your choice of Modelo or Corona; or try a multitude of flavors available with the margarita flight, offering delicious samples of the blood orange, pomegranate, mango and passion fruit sips.
