Where to Celebrate National Margarita Day in Phoenix

Whether you like your margaritas spicy and sweet, on the rocks or frozen, these restaurants and bars are offering flights, specials and new sips in honor of National Margarita Day on Feb. 22.

Zinqué

Take your celebration to Zinqué in Scottsdale. The bar will feature its spicy L’Amante Margarita ($15), a mixed drink melded with Fortaleza Blanco, fresh-squeezed lime, cilantro, agave and a fresno chile, adding a spicy edge to the robust flavors of citrus, vanilla and basil. Pictured.

Belle’s Nashville Kitchen

This honky tonk-themed bar and restaurant’s Main Street Margarita ($11) is refreshing with a kick. The mixed drink is a blend of Corazon Blanco Tequila, Gran Gala Orange Liqueur, honey simple syrup, fresh lime juice, and topped with a Tajin salt rim.

CRUjiente Tacos

CRUjiente Tacos complement its famous street-style tacos with a refreshing Arcadia Margarita ($9) made from scratch with 100 percent Blue Agave Tequila, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeño, house agave syrup and fresh-squeezed lime, making for a refreshing, savory cocktail. National Margarita Day also doubles as Margarita Monday at the modern taqueria, so margarita selections are $5.

Z’Tejas Southwest Grill

If you’re looking for a smaller celebratory drink, the Little Larry at Z’Tejas is the perfect margarita fix. This itty bitty drink, coming in at four ounces, may be small in size but packs a delicious punch for a petite price of $2.22 in honor of the 2/22/21 holiday. Served on the rocks or frozen, the house margarita will be offered all day long. 

STK Steakhouse

STK Steakhouse will feature a Spiced Up Watermelon Margarita ($21) handcrafted with Patron Silver Tequila, St. Germain, watermelon water, fresh lime and fresh jalapeño, and the Green With Envy Margarita ($21) made with Volcan Tequila, fresh lime, cucumber and muddled bell pepper. The steakhouse is also offering special happy hour deals and live music on National Margarita Day.  

Thirsty Lion Gastropub

Enjoy the Thirsty Lion Classic Margarita half-off all day on Feb. 22. The fresh-made cocktail features El Jimador Tequila, triple sec, specialty sweet and sour mix and agave nectar.

Roaring Fork 

This Scottsdale restaurant is kicking off the holiday celebrations with special offers all evening long. Roaring Fork will offer happy hour pricing on all frozen margaritas in the saloon including its Spicy Jalapeño Margarita, signature Huckleberry Margarita and famous RF margarita for only $5.

In honor of National Margarita Day, Urban Margarita is highlighting another beloved “holiday”: Taco Tuesday. This two-day celebration will feature $4 margaritas with flavors like pineapple jalapeño, cucumber jalapeño, prickly pear, blood orange or elderflower. 

GuacStar Kitchen and Cantina

GuacStar Kitchen and Cantina in Downtown Tempe is celebrating by offering $2 off its house margarita (regularly $6), as well as $2 off its brand-new Fly to Mexico margarita flights (regularly $14). The cantina will also be offering plant-based enchiladas with rice and beans for just $10. 

 Angry Crab Shack

Celebrate and sip on the Angry Crab Shack’s Crabarita ($10) made with Cazadores Reposado, triple sec, organic sour mix, splash of orange juice, and topped with a float of Grand Mariner. The shack is also offering customizable fruit-flavored frozen margaritas ($7) for those who love their tequila with a frosty twist.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria

The pizzeria is debuting its newest cocktail in honor of the holiday, the Italian Margarita ($10). The mixed drink puts a modern twist on the standard cocktail by combining Maestro Dobel Diamante Tequila, Luxardo Amaretto, fresh lime juice and Monin Cane Syrup, shaken and served on the rocks. 

Ghost Ranch Southwest Cuisine

Ghost Ranch Southwest Cuisine is honoring its western theme and offering guests its signature Ghost Ranch Margarita and Fuego Margarita, made with chile de arbol-infused tequila, for $6, from 3 to 6 p.m. during happy hour. The cuisine will feature hearty cowboy steaks, smoky rancho beans and larger-than-life taco platters.

Thursday: Scottsdale, 7 to 9 p.m.; Friday: Glendale, 4 to 6 p.m., and Desert Ridge, 7 to 9 p.m.; and Monday: Queen Creek, 1 to 3 p.m., Gilbert, 4 to 6 p.m., and Tempe, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Humble Pie

Humble Pie now open on Mondays from 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., just in time to celebrate National Margarita Day. Humble’s Social Sixes, offered all-day, feature its refreshing Caliente Ginger Margarita ($6), with jalapeno-infused Milagro, ginger Giffard, fresh lime juice and a dash of bitters. Pair it with one of the many $6 eats or a signature stone-oven pizza.
